If you have never played Escape from Markov, it is possible that the purpose or goal of the DMZ is not clear. Essentially, the objective of the DMZ mode is to enter the map, loot each one of the teams that you can find and extract while defending yourself from the enemies controlled by the AI and the player.

The DMZ mode drops a three squad on the map of War zone, Al-Wakrah. The players enter the map with a pre-established weapons load or their personalized weapons and must find the loot to extract.

Along the way, they will find many missions in the game to complete, such as facing strengths, contracts and several supplies to improve their current loads. Completing these modes and extracting successfully will grant a lot of XP and reinforce your team, since any weapon you find can return to the next DMZ fall.

This mode, in particular, is a basic version of Escape from Markov, since EFT includes more systems, such as the construction of bases, food and much more. However, the fact that these systems are not present in the COD DMZ is not a bad thing, since EFT may seem less easy to use for first-time players.
